Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe quick review

Like the short deck and sloping roofline look or not, you have to agree the GLC Coupe is unique. It is quite conventional Mercedes on the inside, though sporty AMG details do add some flavour to the cabin. The front seats are nice and snug but the sloping roof means rear seat headroom is limited and the small windows will also make passengers feel cooped-in. Also, the boot is quite small.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43’s 367hp, 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine packs quite a punch. It doesn’t have the brute force of a full-blown AMG engine but performance is really good and the experience is livened by the pleasant exhaust note. The GLC 43 Coupe is not the sharpest of SUVs in the bends but it turns in with poise and the all-wheel drive helps make the most of the power. The ample ground clearance also means it’s more practical than a like-powered sportscar. The standard-fit air suspension is set to the firmer side, though you have the option to adjust damping to your liking.
