Toyota Prius Review

While the Prius is primarily designed to be slippery and aerodynamic, the latest model takes things a step too far with fussy details and overdone styling. It's still eye-catching, just not for the right reasons. The cabin isn’t conventional either but the dashboard, with its centrally-mounted instruments, is easy to get used to. The seats are also nice and offer good support.
The Prius hybrid powertrain comprises a 98hp, 1.8-litre petrol engine and a 72hp electric motor, with a total system output of 122hp. So long as there’s enough charge in the battery, you can get by on pure-electric mode alone. The engine kicks-in when the battery is low on charge or when more power is needed. The hybrid system works seamlessly and also helps deliver excellent fuel-economy numbers. Ride comfort is up there with other premium sedans and surprisingly enough, the Prius is reasonably nice to steer too.
