Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Review

While 2018’s styling enhancements have added some flash to the Ciaz’s smart design, addition of features like cruise control have also helped make the car a more wholesome package. However, the incredible cabin space remains the highlight on the Ciaz.
The Ciaz’s new 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine is smooth and responsive, if also unexciting. Shifts on the standard-fit 5-speed manual gearbox are nice while the 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission comes across as somewhat lazy. The diesel Ciaz does feel sluggish at low city speeds but makes for an able highway cruiser. Unfortunately, the diesel engine can get loud and simply feels last-generation. Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid system on both engines gives the Ciaz class-leading fuel economy figures. Light controls and a pleasant ride quality also make the Ciaz easy to live with.
