The BMW M4 is in the latter part of its life but can still draw attention for the way it looks. However, the M4 is showing its age on the inside. The dash, in particular, looks last-gen BMW, even if the overall feel of the cabin is sporty. Rear seat comfort is fine for short drives but access to the back is inconvenient.
As a sportscar, the BMW M4 is brilliant. Purists will miss the highly strung engines of the old M3s but the M4’s 450hp, 3.0-litre, straight-six twin-turbo engine is still rather special. There’s a strong shove from low down the rev range and in-gear acceleration is ballistic. The M4 feels keen and decisive in the corners though you’ll have to drive the car hard to make the most of the chassis’ abilities.
