Audi R8 Review

Even in the most discrete of colours, the Audi R8 is an attention magnet. It’s low, it has classic mid-engined proportions and it is simply striking. It’s quite a drop down into the R8’s two-seater cabin so basic flexibility is a pre requisite for ingress-egress. Once in place, drivers will feel at ease in the cabin – all the R8's controls are in easy access and outside visibility is really good by supercar standards.
The highlight on the R8, however, is its engine. The sound, the immediacy of responses and the sheer ferocity with which the engine revs is just riveting. Lightning-quick shifts from the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission also make the explosive acceleration feel absolutely seamless. In the corners, the Quattro all-wheel-drive-equipped R8 turns in decisively and only gets better the faster you go. The reasonable ground clearance also makes the R8 a supercar you could use every day, though the firm ride can be an issue.
