Audi Q5 Review

The second-gen Audi Q5 is neat in look but some might find the visual link to its predecessor a bit too strong. However, what buyers will appreciate is how much Q7 there is to the Q5’s cabin. The Q5 interior is sleek and well finished and the low dash also allows for a great view out. Front seat comfort is good and those seated at the back will like that they have the option to recline their backrests. However, the high centre tunnel can prove to be bothersome for a middle passenger.
The Audi Q5’s 252hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine has a bit of initial lag but comes into its own quickly enough. There’s plenty of power on offer and the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox also does a good job of keeping the engine in its powerband. The gearbox does hesitate at low speeds and that’s something you’d note on the diesel Q5 as well. The 190hp, 2.0 diesel offers ready access to power and offers strong performance without much noise. Fact is both Q5s are very refined. Add in excellent ride quality and what you have is a very comfortable SUV.
