My policy(icici Lombard), which is currently active, carries a No Claim Bonus (NCB) of 45%. However, ICICI Lombard claims department has rejected my claim citing that my previous insurance was a third-party only policy with 0% NCB, and therefore, the current NCB is not valid. My car met a accident on may 12.. They are rejecting my claim due to this.. Will you be able to help.. Thanks

NCB is granted only when a policyholder has a comprehensive policy with no claims in the previous year. If your earlier insurer indeed issued only a third-party policy, then technically, the NCB of 45% on your current policy may not be valid, which unfortunately can impact the legitimacy of your claim in India.
