Current Verna spec is 1.5L MT D. Will age per the govt. in 6 years. Happy with it. How to keep for longer. Ideal car for wife needed, ideal would be i20 (costlier and less safer) or Altroz (reliability issues i feel with tata) Should I buy a big petrol car given my diesel would age soon? Budget <18L. Hyundai preferred. Maruti is a NO.

Since your Verna diesel will face age-related restrictions in 6 years, it makes sense to plan ahead—either by maintaining it well for city use or considering an early switch. For long-term peace of mind, a petrol Hyundai like the Creta or i20 N Line could be a balanced upgrade under ₹18L, offering reliability and future readiness.

Asked by: hareesh hi team, currently we own a Marazzo and planning to change it for another 7 seater vehicle . 7 are adults and we have shortlisted safari pure plus AT . There is confusion due to the reliability issues with tata. could you please provide your feedback on this purchase of tata and also provide another alternate option as well for a proper 7 seater suv ? Monthly average 10 k km and budget is < 30 L . Tata Safari is a great 7-seater SUV. Tata has been originally known had a bad reputation for reliability but over the years they have strategically improved the quality and reliability of the cars.
