Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible

Roof up or down, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will gather attention. It’s standard Range Rover fare on the inside with a solid, built-to-last feel to everything and some high quality materials too. Front seat comfort is good and surprisingly the back seats work fine for medium-sized adults as well. Note, the rear section does feel snug with the roof up. The fabric roof folds/unfolds at the touch of a button, and what’s nice is that even with the roof folded away there’s enough boot space for a weekend’s worth of luggage.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible’s 240hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is more than satisfactory. There’s enough power at hand and the build of speed is good. It’s only the 9-speed gearbox that plays spoilsport at times, with delayed shifts. The Evoque Convertible isn’t sporty per se but drives with confidence in the bends. Also, the ride can be a bit lumpy at low speeds. On the positive side, the Evoque, with its short overhangs, all-wheel drive and Terrain Response system, is game for some off-roading. In all, it’s a great tool to go sightseeing.
