With its raised ride height, new bumpers, mild cladding, scuff plates and even unique wheels, the Tata Tiago NRG does look like a Tiago with a difference. Contrast colour elements help jazz-up the Tiago’s nicely done interior too. Space and comfort are good.
In terms of driving manners, the Tiago NRG feels no different than the regular Tiago. The 85hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine isn’t quiet but it does offer fair performance. The 70hp, 1.05-litre diesel takes time to get into its rhythm but the powerband is narrow and things also get noisy if you drive hard. That being said, the NRG is easy to steer, absorbs bumps well enough and also feels confident out on the highway. The added ground clearance also comes handy on broken roads.
