The SLC might not be the newest of Mercs around but it’s still quite attractive, roof up or down. On the inside, however, the SLC looks its age. What does uplift the ambience is the sport detailing and red stitching on the inside. The snug seats are nice and supportive too.
You don’t have to wind the SLC 43’s engine too hard to get to its best. There’s a good spread of power and performance is strong. The SLC 43 also sounds quite good with the requisite sprinkling of pops and crackles. And while not the most accomplished handlers, the SLC 43 is fun in the corners too. Do note, the SLC’s ride is firm and there’s scuttle shake on broken roads as well.
