The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is quite attractive as far as compact sedans go but the car’s cabin is the real talking point. It not only looks premium by class standards but also offers more space than many pricier cars, and there’s reasonable boot space, too.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire with the 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine is really peppy and enjoyable while the efficient 75hp, 1.3-litre diesel motor works fine for highway use. Although the diesel feels sluggish at low town speeds and feels generally crude by modern standards. As for the gearboxes, the manuals offer the best experience. The AMT autos aren’t smooth enough for the money, particularly the diesel AMT.
The steering is light while the comfortable ride furthers the Dzire’s big car feel.

Bigger, lighter and better, the new Dzire compact sedan is more grown up than before.
