The Xylo is an MPV that thinks it’s an SUV. This MPV is not the easiest on the eyes but its large size equates to a really roomy interior. There’s lots of space in the middle row and the third row seats are comfortable for adults too. That being said, the cabin is high set so it’s not the most convenient in ingress-egress, and quality is also not at par with newer models.
The Xylo’s 93hp, 2.5-litre diesel engine is adequate but you’d be better served by the 123hp, 2.2-litre diesel unit. The engine is smooth, offers peppy performance in town and has ample grunt for highway use too. Unfortunately, the softly sprung Xylo doesn’t feel reassuringly planted at high speeds and the heavy steering also makes it cumbersome to drive in town.
