The Honda Accord Hybrid looks modern and attractive both outside and inside. There’s a lot of room in the cabin and the back seat offers the sofa-like comfort Accords are renowned for. Honda has also packed in quite a bit of equipment.
The Honda Accord Hybrid’s powertrain comprises a 145hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine that works in conjunction with a 184hp electric motor. What makes the Accord’s hybrid system special are its three drive modes – namely EV, Hybrid (think range extender) and Engine. The transition between modes takes place automatically and seamlessly, and the net benefit is incredible fuel economy. Do note, the Accord Hybrid is about good, clean fun. It is quick but is best enjoyed at an easygoing pace. Also, the ride and handling are tuned more for an effortless driving experience rather than an engaging one.
