The rear is not the Outlander’s best angle. It looks a bit plain compared to the front.

Underbody spare tyre a pain to access.
With the third row up, you can fit in a few soft bags; loading lip is low enough too.
Car-like driving position but visibility is still good.
Tall passengers might find headroom tight; knee room is okay.
Knee room not great, but sliding 2nd row helps.
The cabin feels built to last but quality isn’t exceptional. The design is simple and there’s nothing to brighten up the all-black theme.
The handling is a pleasant surprise, with good body control and sharp enough steering.
Small 6.1-inch touchscreen unit feels quite basic.
Dials clear and easy to read on the go.
Lack of rear AC vents can be felt on a hot day.
Rockford audio with subwoofer sounds nice and bassy.
