Renault has introduced a dual-tone roof option for its Kwid in Brazil. The contrasting roof will be finished in white or black, depending on the exterior paint shade.

Closer to home, Renault has confirmed that it will offer similar customisation options on the soon-to-launch Captur crossover.

However, there is no news on whether the India-spec Kwid will get similar options, though it could be safe to expect some of these to trickle down.

If introduced on the India-spec Kwid, it will help the hatchback stand out and keep it ahead of its competition which includes the Datsun Redigo, Maruti Alto and Alto K10 and Hyundai Eon.

The Kwid is available with a 54hp, 0.8-litre engine and a 68hp, 1.0-litre petrol motor. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and an AMT.

Renault has recently added a limited-run Kwid 02 Anniversary Edition to its line-up for the festive season. Earlier this year, the French manufacturer had also introduced the Kwid Climber edition, which is available with unique paint shades and alloy wheels.
