    Nissan Kicks bookings open

Nissan has officially opened bookings for its upcoming SUV, the Kicks. The booking amount has been set at Rs 25,000, with interested customers able to book the SUV either at dealerships or online.

“The new Nissan Kicks is a testimony to our commitment to bring the best of global products and technology to our customers in India. We are confident that, with its progressive SUV design and advanced technology, the Kicks will appeal to new-age urban adventure seekers,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, director - sales and commercials, Nissan Motors India in a statement.

Based on the same platform as the Renault Captur, the Kicks will be offered with the tried and tested 110hp 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine and a 106hp 1.5-litre petrol motor. While the diesel unit will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the petrol will be paired with a 5-speed manual unit.

Nissan has also packed the Kicks with equipment such as a 360-degree camera (first-in-class), an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps and cruise control.

With a launch expected in January 2019, the Kicks will take on the likes of the popular Hyundai Creta, the Renault Captur and the Maruti S-cross.
