    Launched at Rs 5.60 lakh, the second-gen Amaze gets five exterior paint shade options and a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty.

    Honda has launched the new Honda Amaze in India with prices starting at Rs 5.60 lakh and going up to Rs 9.00 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings had begun earlier and deliveries will begin by the end of the month. There are four powertrain options at launch – the 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol and the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel will both get the five-speed manual and CVT automatic as an option. Interestingly, the power and torque figures in the diesel-auto option are 20hp and 40Nm less than in its manual counterpart. As reported by us earlier, the new Amaze will be available in four trim levels – the base E-trim, S, V and VX. The features available in each variant are listed below.

    • Full-wheel covers
    • 2DIN audio system with Aux/Bluetooth/USB
    • Steering-mounted audio and telephony controls
    • Central locking
    • Power door locks with Keyless entry
    • Rear 12V accessory socket
    • Height-adjustable driver’s seat
    • Rear armrest with cupholder
    • Tilt-steering
    • Adjustable front seat headrests

    Honda Amaze VX (P: Rs 7.58 lakh/D: Rs 8.68 lakh)

    • 7-inch Infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen
    • GPS with turn-by-turn navigation
    • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
    • Reverse Camera
    • Steering-mounted voice controls
    • Cruise Control

    Compared to its competition in the hotly contested compact sedan segment like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor and VW Ameo, the Amaze is priced quite well. It is also the third model in the segment to get the option of a diesel-automatic combination, after Maruti's Dzire and Tata's Zest.
