Baleno Limited edition gets cosmetic add-ons; no mechanical changes seen.

Maruti has taken the wraps of a third limited-edition model in its line-up for this festive season. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno limited edition joins the recently unveiled Swift and Ignis limited edition models.

The special edition Baleno gets a few cosmetic changes over the standard car. Key add-ons include a contrast grey body kit consisting of front, rear and side skirts and side body moulding. On the inside it gets dual-tone seat covers with a quilted design, 3D floor mats, illuminated scuff plates, a smart key finder (in case you lose your keys) and cushions.

Under the hood, the same set of engines - an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol and a  75hp,1.3-litre diesel - are available. There are no mechanical changes on the Baleno limited edition.

Expect Maruti to price the model at around Rs 35,000 more than the standard car. The Baleno takes on the likes of the Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz in the Indian market. The model will see another rival in the form of Tata's 45X hatchback that will launch next year.
