Land Rover has updated the Discovery Sport for the 2019 model year. The update sees a revision in the variant line-up, along with updates to the SUV’s infotainment system. Prices for the updated model start at Rs 44.68 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The biggest change for the MY2019 Discovery Sport can be seen under the hood. The carmaker is now offering the more powerful 180hp, 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel on the SE and HSE variants. The 150hp unit is now restricted to the base Pure trim. Meanwhile, the petrol motor is unchanged and continues to be offered on the mid-spec SE and HSE trim levels.

Additionally, the top HSE Luxury trim gets an exterior styling package which includes a minor body kit, blacked-out elements and a red Sport badge.

Land Rover has also said that the 2019 model year SUV has an updated equipment list across the range, along with updating the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system available on the top trim level to bring it in line with the company’s Touch Pro Duo system.
