Ford has revealed that its Mustang GT will be offered with an optional Level 2 Performance Pack that further enhances the facelifted muscle car’s appeal. It is only available with the manual version of the Mustang GT.

While the Level 1 pack that is currently available adds a few cosmetic changes and minor mechanical tweaks, the Level 2 Performance Pack gets a new front splitter that is claimed to produce about 11kg worth of downforce at 80kph and a tweaked rear spoiler.

The package also adds an improved steering, bespoke MagneRide dampers and stiffer rear stabiliser bar (by 67 percent over the Level 1), front stabiliser bar (by 12 percent), front springs (by 20 percent) and rear springs (by 13 percent). Along with the 305/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres and new 19-inch alloys, the new setup reduces the cars ground clearance by 13mm.

The Performance Pack Level 2 is already available to order and is expected to reach North American dealerships by March 2018.

In India, Ford sells the pre-facelift version of the Mustang with only the 5.0-litre V8 engine that develops 400hp and 515Nm of peak torque, with prices starting at Rs 71.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There is no word on whether either the Level 1 or Level 2 Performance Packs will be available in India.
