Jeep India has finally announced pricing for the new Compass Limited Plus variant. The new top-spec Compass is priced at Rs 21.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for this new variant had commenced a few days ago and deliveries are expected to begin in early October. At this price, the Limited Plus is about Rs 1 lakh more than the respective Limited (O) variant.

The Limited Plus sits right at the top of the Jeep Compass range and gets additional goodies on the outside like a panoramic sunroof and new-look alloy wheels have a similar design to the ones seen on the Compass Trailhawk. On the inside, it gets a larger 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system and tan leather seats with power adjust and memory function for the front row. It also gets an auto dimming rear view mirror, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers as standard.

On the safety front, the Compass Limited Plus gets six airbags (dual front, front side and full length curtain) as opposed to the lesser trims that come with only dual front airbags.

Under the hood, just like the standard Compass variants, the Limited Plus comes with the same 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel engines. Transmission choices include a 7-speed DCT automatic for the petrol and a 6-speed manual for the diesel. The diesel Limited Plus comes with 4x2 and 4x4 options. However, the Compass still misses out on the much sought after diesel-automatic option.

The Jeep Compass Limited Plus joins the recently-launched Jeep Compass Black Pack edition, priced from Rs 20.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), which was introduced a few days ago as a special offering for the festive season.

Key rivals to the Jeep Compass include the Hyundai Tucson and the Volkswagen Tiguan in the Indian market.
