I want to change the tyres of my 2015 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R VXi, which has done 33,500km until now. It currently has the tyres that it came with – Apollo Amazer 3G, 155/65 R14 75T tubeless – but I am not all satisfied with their performance as they have worn out so early. Please suggest some good tyres that will last for at least 50,000-60,000km. I am thinking of going for Bridgestone S322, 165/65 R14 79T, or Michelin Energy XM2, 165/65 R14. Also, my car is giving a mileage of only 15-16kpl (in city). If I go for the Michelin tyres, will the mileage increase?

AAA The 165/65 R14s would be a good upsize for the Wagon R. The increased width would give better road holding and comfort. The Michelins are softer tyres so they might wear out faster than the Bridgestones. As for the mileage, in city conditions, all tyres give more or less the same mileage owing to the stop-and-start usage. You could also consider the Yokohama Earth One as an alternative.
